Geneva Kelson
Geneva Kelson, of Hackensack, died on April 27.
Beloved mother of Annie Mae Jackson and the late Theresa Brown. Also survived by five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Dear friend of Angelino Thompson.
Funeral services were held at Earl I. Jones Funeral Home, 305 First St., Hackensack followed by interment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
John T. Connelly
John T. Connelly, 72, of Hackensack, died on April 26.
He was a member of Local #46 of the Metal Lathers Union for 45 years.
Beloved husband of Gloria (nee DiStefano) and the Late Marian (nee DeGaetani). Devoted father of John Connelly and his wife Corinne, Daniel Connelly and his wife Therese, Frank DiVivo and his wife Tracy. And Jody Smith and her husband Bob, Maribeth Caputo and her husband Tom, Robert Schaaf and his wife Stacey. Cherished grandfather of Katelyn, Nicole, Sean, Jenna, Jillian, Frankie, Noelle, Cara, Daniel, Christopher, Max, and Robert John.
Mary E. Lovatt
Mary E. (nee Bixler) Lovatt, 83, of Paramus, died on April 18.
Mary was born in Mount Vernon, N.Y., the daughter of Howard Bixler and Laura Peck Van Tassell Bixler, and raised in Teaneck, where she graduated from Teaneck High School. During World War II. Mary was a proud member of the US Cadet Nurse Corps., and she graduated from Hackensack Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. She was a labor and delivery nurse. She later managed the office for Lovatt Electric Service, the family's business in Hackensack. Mary moved to Paramus with her husband, Robert, and their daughters, Robin and Janis in 1955. She was a member of the Eastern Star for many years and participated in several bowling leagues.
Mary is survived by her beloved husband of sixty years, Robert, daughters Robin Apostolik and her husband Thomas of Verona, and Janis Driesse of Schenectady, NY. She will be missed by her devoted granddaughter, Laura Apostolik Emma and her husband Philip, of Philadelphia, PA and precious great-grandchild on the way, and beloved grandson Joseph Driesse and granddaughter Kaitlin Driesse, both of Cornwall, NY. Mary is also survived by a sister, Barbara Massoni and her husband Robert of Bernardston, MA and predeceased by Bette Toriello of Hackensack. Mary is also mourned by Victoria Hylton, of Haworth, NJ, her loved and trusted friend.
Frances Arlotta
Frances (nee Villano) Arlotta, 89, of Wood-Ridge and formerly of Lodi, died on April 25.
Before retiring she was a salesperson for National Family Stores, South Hackensack. Mrs. Arlotta was a member of the Hasbrouck Heights V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Senior Citizens Club of Wood-Ridge.
Beloved wife of the late John J. Arlotta. Devoted mother of Madeline Cupo and husband Patrick of Sherman Oaks, Calif., and Grayce Berner and husband Robert of Nyack, N.Y. Loving grandmother of Gianna Cupo. Dear sister of Joseph Villano, Angie Scalzo, Jennie Gillott, the late Mary Ross, Thomas, Michael and Anthony Villano.
Mary Louise Totta
Mary Louise (nee Bello) Totta, 76, of Toms River, died on Wednesday, April 23.
Born in Paterson, she lived in Elmwood Park for 45 years before settling in Toms River for the past 11 years. She worked as a bookkeeper for Reliable Rugs in Hackensack for 10 years before retiring.
Beloved wife of Libro; loving mother of Peter of Riverdale, Bobbie "Barbara" Black and her husband Bill of Wayne, and Karen of Elmwood Park; proud grandmother of Christopher and Danielle; dear sister of Jerry Bello and his wife Nadine of Wayne, and Anna Rabuano and her husband Angelo of Kinnelon.
